Grey Horse Vineyards is a great place to unwind, and the perfect venue to create life’s happiest memories.
For the Perfect Afternoon
Grey Horse Vineyards is a destination winery in Virginia’s Piedmont Region. We specialize in boutique wines produced in the European tradition, blending the best of the old world and the new. The tasting room, which opened in the Autumn of 2014, features a large, stone, wood burning fireplace to chase away the chill. In the warmer months, guests enjoy the large covered and screened deck. Live music is featured on the weekends.
The property offers a unique blend of both the vineyard and woodlands, featuring walking trails and picnic sites. Grey Horse Vineyards is located in Fauquier County, close to Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Fredericksburg. The vineyard and winery are located on a 35 acre property that is also home to the owners and their horses. Grey Horse Vineyards is named after three particular grey Arabian horses, who call the property home.
We’re Located in Virginia’s Piedmont Region
In the heart of Virginia, where the Blue Ridge Mountains meet gently rolling hills lies The Virginia Piedmont. A region rich in natural beauty, American history, farmlands, quaint towns and inns, wineries and fine dining, the Piedmont is less than an hour’s drive from Northern Virginia/Washington D.C., Fredericksburg or Charlottesville.
Follow scenic roads through expanses of farmland, orchards and horse farms bordered by centuries-old stone fences. Walk the main streets of the region’s historic towns and villages, and explore the restaurants, from casual to elegant, the galleries, antique shops and other stores. Sample Virginia’s award-winning wines at the many vineyards of the region.
